Provides community based services, residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment and prevention/intervention services to the South Miami-Dade community.
The New Hope is a non-profit, community based organization that provides a variety of programs to better serve our clients, including but not limited to case management, transitional housing for homeless, substance abuse residential and behavioral health outpatient treatment. Our main facility provides among other programs, extended services to anyone who is working to recover from chemical dependency. The residential program is focused upon developing personal and social skills to assist a man in developing into a well-rounded productive individual within our society. In addition to psychiatric services and mental health counseling, we offer job placement services, case management, care coordination, transitional housing, and assistance to move into permanent housing .
New Hope services include a defined set of activities that address the symptoms and root causes of addictions. The approach adopted by New Hope focuses on changing values and beliefs of the consumers in treatment through education, group support, therapy, 12 Steps AA/NA meetings, medication, and skills training. The foundation for our counseling and treatment approach is love and compassion. Reverence for each person's worth and dignity is maintained, and the goal is to renew peace and hope while strengthening self-control and personal empowerment over addiction. Our professionally licensed and clinically trained staff masterfully integrates psychiatric, psychological and medical resources.
The Agency is dedicated to the re-entry into society of those individuals struggling with homelessless, poverty, substance and alcohol abuse, who might otherwise continue their self-destructive cycle of addiction, were it not for the Agency's therapeutic rehabilitative approach.
